- Visit the Braintree Frontline website.
- Use the search function on the site and type "Warm Space" to bring up all identified locations, which are marked with a teacup symbol.
Examples of Braintree Warm Spaces
Several organisations in the Braintree district participate in the warm spaces initiative, with many offering free hot drinks and food:
- Bocking St Marys: Friendly Friday Café Runs every Friday during term time from 12 pm to 2:30 pm, offering a free lunch, refreshments, and cakes.
- Salvation Army Braintree Hosts a coffee morning every Wednesday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, providing a warm space for a drink and a chat, with light refreshments available for a nominal price.
- The Witham Community Hub Operates a warm space from October to the end of March, where visitors can sit down, get a hot drink (from £1.00), and enjoy a free bowl of soup with a roll.
Kelvedon URC Warm Space Offers free tea, coffee, and biscuits on Tuesdays from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by soup, a roll, and a pudding from 12 noon to 1:30 pm.Cressing Keep warm and Keep in touch Provides free warm drinks, pastries, and cakes every Thursday from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
These spaces aim to help residents struggling with energy costs or looking for company and social interaction.
