PPG October 8th
Posted or Updated on 30 Jan 2026
Hello all!
Our next PPG is being held at:
Witham Leisure Centre, Wellness Room
8th October 2025
4pm to 5:30pm
PPG stands for Patient Participation Group, which is a group of volunteer patients, carers, and practice staff who meet to discuss and provide feedback on the services at a GP surgery. These groups are a requirement for all GP practices and work to influence how services are delivered, improve patient experience, and act as a voice for the patient community.
Key functions of a PPG
-
Improve services:
PPGs review and provide feedback on the practice's services, patient experience, and potential areas for improvement.
-
Influence decisions:
They can influence service development by participating in "commissioning decisions," ensuring changes are made in the best interest of patients.
-
Enhance communication:
PPGs can help improve communication between the practice and its patients.
- Gather patient feedback: They conduct surveys or research to understand what matters most to patients and share the findings with the practice.
