From 2nd March 2020 we are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all our prescriptions will be processed electronically
Patients without a nominated pharmacy will automatically receive electronic prescriptions.
Electronic prescriptions help save the NHS money.
The way you order your medication is changing as from the 31st March 2020 you will no longer be able to order your repeat prescriptions from your local pharmacy. Please speak to a member of the Dispensary Team for further information
Alternatively you can send an e-mail to email@example.com
PLEASE NOTE THIS EMAIL IS FOR PRESCRIPTIONS AND MEDICATION QUERIES ONLY.
Our practice is collaborating with NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) which is providing NHS numbers for those patients that may be suitable for electronic repeat dispensing prescriptions. The information is obtained from NHS prescriptions submitted to the NHSBSA. A member of our clinical team will contact these patients soon to explain the benefits of this service
Our dispensary has three qualified dispensers, including a dispensary manager who is available for any enquiries you may have. Repeat prescriptions may be requested online,e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org by post, by telephone or by you or your representative calling personally at the dispensary. If telephoning for a repeat prescription, ring the dispensary on 01376 501297 between 11.30am - 1.00pm.
Please note we need four working days' notice to provide repeat prescriptions and, where necessary, you should arrange to see your doctor in good time for authorisation of prescriptions.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR NON-DISPENSING PATIENTS - A new system has been created to make it easier for you to pick up your repeat prescription. It is called the Electronic Prescription Service, or EPS for short. The EPS is an NHS service that sends your prescription from GP surgery to Pharmacy without the need for a paper copy. Nominate a pharmacy of your choice and this pharmacy will receive your prescription directly from your GP, via the EPS. Ask someone in dispensary at the GP surgery or at any pharmacy that offers EPS to add your nomination for you. You don't need a computer to use EPS. With EPS you will not have to visit your practice to pick up your paper prescription anymore. You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because you can choose a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop. EPS is reliable, secure and confidential. Your electronic prescription will only be seen by the same people in GP practices and pharmacies who see your paper prescription now. If you are interested in using the EPS Service speak to your pharmacist or GP practice staff.
Our dispensers are able to issue medicines for those of our patients who live over one mile from a pharmacy, ie Wickham Bishops, Terling, White Notley and Rivenhall. Also, we operate a delivery service designed for those who are housebound and unable to collect their medication from us in Witham. If you have any questions regarding this service, please feel free to enquire at the dispensary.
